Ivan PADUART - Alone - Ref: @002 Piano solo
What does the word 'alone' bring to mind? solo - rough - pure - naked - fragile - transparent sincere - quintessential - vital - simple - profound - straightforward uncontrived...
This record is probably the greatest risk I have taken since my first attempts at immortalizing sonic emotions, and I hope to have been as spontaneous as a child's laughter.
May these few notes conjure up pictures, colours and feelings that cannot be translated into
any worldly language.

Steve Houben (saxophone, flute) - Jacques Pirotton (guitar) - Philippe Thuriot (accordion) - Stephan Pougin (drums, percussions) - Sam Gerstmans (bass) The musical approach that became this quintet's trademark, since few years now, is playing a kind of music that is of our liking without really bothering to stop and reflect whether it is to be stamped or not as jazz. This has made us rub shoulders with Jean-Sébastien Bach, Charlie Parker, the ‘60ies, les fourmis, traditional Irish European and other music, trash, Gershwin, pure jazz, etc...

In the attractive Music Village, Brussels’ only real jazz club, and accompanied by this extraordinary rhythm section, Mandy Gaines couldn’t but make an album to be fully enjoyed.
Ivan PADUART - Ref: @010 My French Heart
Ivan PADUART (piano) - Philippe AERTS (bass) - Franck AGULHON (drums)
For different reasons, this CD was a challenge (I love challenges...). First, because it's hard to express on the piano (percussive instrument), what can the singers express, with all the possibilities of the voice. When singers stretch the notes, playing with their personal tone, inflexions and portamentos which make their "signature", what can I do with my fingers for giving the same effect ? Not that much...then, I've to do it differently...keeping the essence but changing the form...
Dieudonné KABONGO will again surprise you as, together with very talented people, he presents you an original african/euro production, without stereotypes but multi-coloured with actual tendencies. We are more used to listen to european productions with african trends. KATA NDEVU proposes you the opposite, an african production coloured with Pop, Electro, Rock, Dance... There lays the difference and you will here that!

Renaud PATIGNY and the Blue Devils - Ref: @014 Still Boogyin
Renaud PATIGNY (vocal, piano) - André RONSSE (alto sax) - Peter VERHAS (tenor sax) Bob DARTSCH (drums) - John VALCKE (double bass)
The program of the album CD "Still Boogyin' " is comprised of a number of small paintings turned into music."Benin City Queen's Eyes", is a suggestive illusion about the sculptural beauty of a Nigerian girlfriend. "Boogie Soldier", is a special fusion of boogie with other sounds, it is not really military!! "Danke Schön Amadeus", is a very special tribute to Mozart. This whole series of small stories sometimes tender, sometimes funny, but never sad, help bring the CD to life. The lyrics were written by Christine Jones.
Renaud PATIGNY - Ref: @015 Boogie Brothers "LIVE"

The BEATLES revisited... Jazz Me Do 2 ... Jazz Me 2 Do ... or not to do ? ... no doubt !
Same concept, same band but new arrangements. I'm very proud of this project and I'm so
happy to see the band enjoying the music. We already had a lot of fun during the first live
recording but this time spent in studio was for me a great pleasure and a very nice
souvenir.
Hard work but cool takes ! ... with a little (big) help from my friends. Thanks to Bubu,
Charles and Luc for the arrangements. Phil ABRAHAM
